Texas Medicaid Programs
Texas covers preventive and treatment services for children and adults. Services for children are for anything that your child needs. Services for adults are very limited.
Children are covered for exams and treatment from as young as 6 months up to age 21. Services covered include all necessary treatment for your child, including regular exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, x-rays, and any needed fillings, crowns, surgical, and other services. To obtain care, you will need to select Dr. Davis as your child’s dentist and register that choice with MCNA Dental, the administrator of the Texas Medicaid program.
CHIP Dental Coverage
If your income disqualifies you from Medicaid coverage, your child may be able to get care through the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). We also participate with the CHIP program. To find out more call CHIP toll-free at 1-800-647-6558.
Services Not Covered By Medicaid
If you need services that are not covered by Medicaid, we will work with you to help make it affordable. We offer discounts for people who don’t have dental insurance, we can sometimes substitute a less expensive treatment, we can often phase treatment to address the urgent issues now and leave the others till a later date, and we also offer no-interest payment plans. In short, we want to help you afford the quality dental care you need.
